Still seems high

Last week, Bethesda shed some light on what it considered the recommended requirements to be to play The Evil Within on PC. After some chatter from the Internet about them being ridiculously high, Bethesda clarified by posting minimum requirements.

According to a post on BethBlog, The Evil Within will require Windows 7 or 8.1, a GTX 460 or an equivalent 1 GB VRAM card, an i7 or an equivalent 4-plus core processor, 4 GB RAM, and 50 GB HDD space. Take note that this is to be able to “still have a great experience with the game,” but not at 1080p and needing to turn off some features.

The biggest change is the drop from 4 GB of video RAM to 1 GB. However, it’s interesting that Bethesda continues to insist that an i7 is necessary. Judging by this, PC players will still need a fairly respectable rig to run The Evil Within.
