Game with the Dtoid community
Happy Friday!
Are you tired of playing games online with your friends? Do you wish there was a group of other, like minded individuals, such as yourself, who wanted to get together in person and hang out while playing video games? Do you live in or around the Austin, Texas area?
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, (specifically number 3) you’re in luck. Tomorrow (Saturday, July 26th), you can join your fellow Destructoid community peeps for what should be an amazingly good time at the Destructoid Southwest NARP. These NARP’s are 100% community driven, and are a great way to meet your fellow Dtoiders.
The details for this weekend’s Southwest NARP can be found in the forums or over in the community blogs, you can also send a message to Djnealb on Twitter if you need more information.
Thanks to Djnealb for getting this going, I’ve made lifelong friends here on Destructoid, being able to meet some of them in person and hangout was and always is amazing. I wish I could be there, and I cannot wait to see all the pictures and hear all the stories. I’m sure it’s gonna be one hell of a good time.
Now, let’s get to the reason why you came here in the first place, the games…
New to FNF? Read this! Each week, a bunch of us Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! It’s a 100% community-run event, so feel free to join in or even host something yourself!
The planning for FNF starts in the forums, where community members sign up to host matches and post their pertinent details (game, time, Gamertag, etc.). Then, every Friday, reminder posts go up in the community blogs thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, and I recap it all here on the front page to give it a bit more exposure.
To join in, simply send a friend request to the match host! If you’d rather host something yourself, sound off in the comments section below!
