The Pokémon S.H. Figuarts line is growing, with the addition of Mega Blaziken. Mega Blaziken is the second Pokémon figure to join the lineup after Lucario, and it looks like it means business.

Blaziken seems like a bizarre choice for the Figuarts line, as I would have chosen something a little more popular, but perhaps Blaziken is actually a fairly in demand monster and I just haven’t realized it. Then again, I just want to see variations of Meowth figures everywhere, so I’m probably not the best person to ask.

Scarecroodle at Tomopop muses that Blaziken may have been chosen because of the early Pokémon X/Y promotion featuring Torchic and Blazikenite, but your guess is as good as mine. If you’re digging the early look at this figure, it’s slated for an October release. You could probably carry that and a plastic Poké Ball around, and voila! Instant Halloween costume. Or something.
