German indie studio Binji is on Kickstarter and Greenlight
It seems like the the genre of “survival games” is well and truly established, what with the likes of DayZ, Rust, et al being pretty popular. So it’s no surprise to see newer games take the core ideas but tweak the gameplay a little. Still Alive is a new game from German indie studio Binji and it’s got all the things you expect from a post-apocalyptic survival game but instead of an FPS, it’s a 2D action-platfomer.
The main core of the gameplay is PVP but again, with a twist; in each round, survivors only have 30 minutes to find some medicine or they’ll die of infection, so players aren’t only threatened by the mutated creeps but by other humans too, each desperate for the cure. It’s a neat idea that brings something new to the open-ended survival genre.
Right now, Still Alive is on Kickstarter but Binji is far behind on its goal; maybe some votes on Greenlight will help give the game some life.
