Blame Jim. Kidding. Blame Capcom for not polishing up what was, at least to me, some pretty solid ideas for Resident Evil 6. The game didn’t do so well this year, which has forced Capcom to cut its financial forecast for this year.

Gamasutra says that 3.3 billion yen ($39 million) was cut from Capcom’s estimated profits this year as sales of Resident Evil 6 have “subsequently weakened” after the launch period. It makes sense: numbers for one of their flagship games fell short, so overall financials also will.

Speaking of flagship games, Monster Hunter 4 has also been delayed from March 2013 in Japan until later in the year.
