With so many of these new Warhammer 40,000 games coming out now, I’m left sitting here waiting for that coveted Dawn of War III to steal away my weekends — but it’s nowhere in sight. In the meantime, Space Hulk: Deathwing has caught my eye. It is in development at Streum On Studio, which is responsible for E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, otherwise known as the game where you get to hack doors and they can hack you back. It was a real trip.

A step away from Full Control’s recent boardgame-inspired Space Hulk videogame, Deathwing is a first-person shooter. There will still be tight corridors and Genestealers, of course, so that will be interesting to see realized given the camera perspective. I’m nervous about that — and we only have a non-gameplay teaser here — but E.Y.E. was so out there that I’ll be keeping this on my radar regardless. Whatever Deathwing ends up being, it surely won’t be boring.
