Trine 2 has been delayed for PS3 users in PAL territories

While all those in North America have been enjoying Trine 2 on the PlayStation 3, others in Europe have been waiting for Frozenbyte’s platform-puzzle title to hit their respective PlayStation Store. If you fit that description, I’ve got some bad news for you; Atlus is having to delay Trine 2, “a short while longer.”

While neither Atlus or Frozenbyte went into why exactly this has been happening — the game should have launched alongside its North American counterpart back in late December — they did offer this rather reassuring apology:

“We sincerely apologize for the frustration this ongoing delay has caused our European fans, as it is a frustration we (ATLUS and Frozenbyte) also share.  We assure the community that everything within our influence is being done to release Trine 2 for PAL PS3 system users as soon as possible, and we humbly ask for our fans’ continued patience and understanding.”

After reading that, I feel like giving Atlus a hug; they sound so sincere.
