Trine 2 has a few important dates for you to jot down

While a simultaneous multiplatform release isn’t on the cards for Trine 2, developer Frozenbyte isn’t too far off from reaching such a goal. The eye-catching platformer is due out first on PC and Mac via Steam release on December 7. That’s this week!

For console owners, the wait is a fairly quick one — Trine 2 hits the North American PlayStation Network on December 21 (the European PSN release is TBD but “hopefully around the same time”), followed by a worldwide Xbox Live Arcade launch the following day.

Looking ahead, DRM-free Trine 2 and the Linux version are scheduled for release in 2012. Any game which features an octopus is a game I want to support.
