Motorists and police were fascinated to see a large Pac-Man painted on a stretch of Highway 55 in Buffalo. The highway had already been painted with large, white ovals as part of a program to stop tailgating on the highway. Each oval was suppose to show motorists how far apart their vehicle must be from others, but someone else must have seen power dots in maze instead because they decided to brave traffic and paint the huge Pac-Man figure eating one of the ovals.

Police figure the painting has been there at least a month and that the people responsible have been touching up the piece over time. They also said that they believe the Pac-Man painting is even helping the tailgating program, because people are slowing down to check it out, but they don’t encourage anyone to paint any more video game icons on the roads.

That’s right, baby. We, gamers are all about promoting road safety.
