I love what Sony is doing with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, but I have a hard time finding the appeal of playing it on such a small screen.

The visuals hold up surprisingly well on Sony’s handheld, with only some slight downgrades in shadow detail. Despite having one of the best mobile screens in the industry, it’s hard to keep up with the off-the-walls action of All-Stars. I really had to strain my eyes to follow what was going on. It’s great that Sony is able to port the game and allow cross-play between the Vita and PS3, but I would stick to the console version of this one. Some games, no matter how much technology advances, just aren’t fit for portable devices.
