Bethesda has been receiving complaints from users unable to activate the recently release Honest Hearts downloadable content for Fallout: New Vegas. While Bethesda has said that an upcoming patch will fix potential issues, it may irreparable on certain save files.

The problem stems from an existing glitch concerning the main game quest, “E-DE, My Love.” The quest is famously buggy, with some triggered events not occurring. If your save file has glitches of this nature, you might not be able to access Honest Hearts without starting an entirely new game.

“We are aware of the issue and are working on a fix for the next patch,” said Bethesda. “That said, if you already have a save game where the bug is occurring, the fix will not apply and you’ll need to revert to an earlier save prior to ED-E leaving in order to play through Honest Hearts.

Seriously … that’s the opposite of good, right there. Especially since it concerns a glitch that’s been around since launch.
