Announced through an absolutely hilarious trailer called “Friendship is Sharing”, Uber Entertainment has released a huge update for Super Monday Night Combat with the biggest addition being Steam Trading. Just head over to your Steam Inventory or prompt a trade with one of your friends on Steam to check it out. You’re not able to trade away your Mr. Destructoid outfit, but we know you would never want to do that anyway, right?

You will also find quite a few bug fixes, new game rules, and a huge overhaul to the menu UI. I have to say I’m quite excited that they fixed the bug that greatly increased the respawn timer after the 25 minute mark. That got pretty annoying. You can head over to Uber Entertainment’s forums to see the full list of bug fixes and rule changes.

Uber didn’t stop there; they also announced a crossover with Team Fortress 2. I’m sure you can guess what that entails. That’s right, new hats! There’s two hats that you can unlock in TF2, and two outfits you can unlock in SMNC.

Here’s how you can score those new unlocks:
  • To receive the Gunslinger Hat for Sniper in TF2, players must reach Agent Level 5 in SMNC.
  • To receive the Engineer Uniform for Combatgirl in SMNC, players must reach Agent Level 10 in SMNC.
  • To receive the Soldier Uniform and Rocket Launcher skin for Megabeth in SMNC, players must reach Agent Level 15 in SMNC.
  • To receive the Assassin Helmet for Pyro in TF2, players must reach Agent Level 20 in SMNC.

[Note: If you’ve already reached these levels, you will receive the unlocks too.]
