We’re experiencing Nintendo Direct a little early this year as we discover the Switch’s final batch of games. The 30-minute direct highlights some of the top games, including remakes and brand-new games launching on the Switch. Let’s check out the biggest reveals from March 27’s Nintendo Direct.
The biggest reveals from the March 2025 Nintendo Direct
- Starting March 2025, Nintendo Direct is No Sleep for Kaname Date, a continuation of the AI: The Somnium Files series. The story continues right from AI: The Somnium Files, with Kaname Date returning as the main protagonist. It’s set to release on July 25.
- We now have an official release date for Shadow Labyrinth, an almost horror-like platforming rendition of Pacman that initially revealed itself in Secret Level. It’ll officially be released on July 18.
- Patapon and Patapon 2 are getting remakes. Originally launching in 2007 and 2008, respectively, they’re now returning with remastered graphics after nearly 20 years. They’re set to release on July 11.
- Story of Seasons is back for more in their upcoming title, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. Farming is still at the forefront, but this time, you can sell items at your town’s bazaar to help its economy thrive. It’s arriving on August 27.
- We now have some more gameplay footage of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It’s still coming in 2025, and there is no further word on its release date.
- Disney Villains: Cursed Cafe, a cozy potion-making game featuring Disney villains, is out today, March 27.
- Rift of the NecroDancer, a rhythm game following Crypt of the Necrodancer, is out today, March 27.
- We got an extensive look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including its gameplay, new features, and some of its key characters. It’s confirmed to release in Late 2025, but no further release date has been revealed.
- We’re getting another Marvel game by the end of 2025. Marvel: Cosmic Invasion is arriving on the Nintendo Switch on “Holiday 2025.”
