It looks like a peacock squatting on a TV! What is that!?

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the Wii Light, and it sounds about as ball-crazy as you could possibly imagine. Patented back in 2009, the device consists of a sequence of red, blue, and green LEDs that can output light in different hues and intensities. Concerning game applications, different colors could indicate various hits in an FPS, or strobe lights could sync with music in a rhythm game.

Imagine the seizure-inducing laser light show this contraption could put on. Who comes up with this stuff?
