The Summer Sale is the perfect time to pick up a few (or a lot) titles for pretty cheap. Personally, I prefer picking up multiple titles and then finishing them gradually over the next few months, as the discounts are too good to turn down. But some deals are especially worth your consideration, so let’s take a look at ten options you won’t regret considering in this year’s summer sale.

Top 10 Steam Summer Sale 2024 deals

Some of the games on this list are recent, while a few have aged by some years. I have considered two significant factors while judging these deals from the rest: both the quality of the game, and the extent of the discount. Additionally, note that the order of this list isn’t ranked.

Cyberpunk 2077

I simply can’t have enough of Cyberpunk 2077 after buying it in 2022 on my Xbox. Since then, a lot has changed, which includes the Phantom Liberty DLC (totally worth the extra money). From being one of the shakiest releases of all time, CDPR has managed to turn it around. A neat 50% discount is a bargain for the amount of content you can find. While Cyberpunk 2077 might be a single-player experience, different builds allow replayability in the long run. Make sure to pick up the DLC as well, which is also on discount during the Steam Summer Sale 2024.

Hades

Though its sequel is currently out in Early Access, the first Hades is still well worth your time and cash. Playing the first game not only helps you to get a grasp of the connected storyline for its successor, but it also stands on its own legs as an excellent action roguelite with a compelling style and story. A sweet 66% discount is also available, making things even sweeter.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Once a game I played back on my PS2, I won’t mind playing the remake of Resident Evil 4 in 2024. It’s arguably one of the best horror-action games I have ever played, but the remake allows you to enjoy better graphics, for starters. While being a true tribute to the original title, Resident Evil 4 also gets a lot of quality of life upgrades. It’s not just an old Resident Evil game with new graphics, as Konami has also made a lot of changes under the hood. Do note that the other remakes are also available at a discount during the Steam Summer Sale 2024.

Street Fighter 6

The game that officially got me hooked on fighting games, Street Fighter 6 hits all the strong points of the genre. Many were unsure how the new control setup would work, but Capcom managed to surprise everyone. Street Fighter 6 is the perfect choice for anyone who’s looking to get into fighting games. With different modes, including single and multiplayer content, it’s hard to run out of things to do. It’s now available at a decent 50% discount, and the same also applies to the other paid content (not necessary, as the base game offers a lot of stuff).

Marvel’s Midnight Suns

Marvel's Midnight Suns 2022

Marvel’s Midnight Suns isn’t XCOM, so don’t go in expecting that. Instead, it’s a solid game that can delight lovers of turn-based strategy. There’s enough depth and the ability to tweak and customize your builds, which allows players to define the way they want to play. Plus, you get all your beloved Marvel superheroes, and what can be cooler than building a team of heroes and deploying them on missions? The Standard Edition is on a massive 75% discount as part of the Steam Summer Sale 2024,

God of War

God of War Ragnarok is coming to PC in September 2024, so now’s the perfect time to play its predecessor. You also get a hefty 50% discount if you purchase during the Summer Sale. God of War is a cinematic experience in every way, and the PC port does proper justice to the originally released console version. The 2018 release was the start of a new story arc, and it took the famed franchise on a new path. It is absolutely worth your time, especially with the significant discount in place.

Forza Horizon 5

There have been plenty of recent racing game releases in the last few years, and Forza Horizon 5 has managed to stand apart from the rest. Its accessible controls make it easy for anyone to enjoy driving through the streets of Mexico even if they don’t have a wheel setup. The available roster of cars is sublime, ranging from vintage American muscles to the futuristic Hypercars. Thanks to the steady source of live service content, there’s no running out of stuff to do, and Playground Games is consistently churning out new festivals. All three available editions – Standard, Deluxe, and Premium – are currently on a 50% discount.

Remnant 2

Remnant 2 isn’t a typical shooter. You won’t jump in and start spraying bullets at everything that moves. In many ways, Remnant 2 and its predecessor have felt like Souls-likes, but with guns. Like the first game, Remnant 2 allows you to play solo or with up to two friends if you’re into co-op. There are plenty of classes, and it’s paramount to focus properly on character builds to find success during missions. While there’s a steep learning curve, Remnant 2 is a very unique experience that you won’t find in any other shooter, for a very good discounted price.

The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 has been going strong for years at this point, and time hasn’t changed the quality of this masterpiece. I have felt that this game was well ahead of its time, and this has been proven by the simple fact that it’s still considered by many as one of the best RPGs available on the market. In fact, a new player will get plenty of additional content and the next-gen upgrade (thankfully, most of the bugs are now gone) for a pretty low price with this discount.

EA Sports FC 24

Usually, I don’t suggest someone get a new EA FC title towards the end of June, as a new game is likely to come out within the next three months. This time, however, there’s a lot more content to enjoy, and the discounted Steam Summer Sale 2024 price makes it a worthy pick. For one, Ultimate Team this year has a lot more rewards for all, making it easier for beginners to get a competitive squad. Secondly, a Euro 2024 mode has been added as a free DLC earlier in June, which isn’t available every year. If you’re someone who loves football or sports games in general, this can be an excellent addition to your Steam library.
